And slept our last night with the children in their beds

We even brought up their new blankets we brought from the North Pole yesterday.

Friday 23rd December 2011

Well sadly tonight will be our last night as tomorrow afternoon we must get back to The North Pole to help Father Christmas get ready. We are hoping for some good jobs this year, I have been working on my reindeer skills so hope I may be able to help with those. Buddy has been working on his woodwork so he may be asked to make last minute adjustments to the sleigh.

So as tonight will be our last we wanted to leave the children something to remember us. We got them blankets made at the North Pole  from the Making & Stitching department. I got the little girl a lovely red one as pink and red are her favourite colours.

Buddy choose a slate coloured one for the little boy as it looked the most snuggly and we have found out the little boy does love snuggling.

We hope you have had a great time this year following us. We hope to catch up on here during the year but the internet at the North Pole is not great as it is kept mainly for the observation of the children and the list writing elves. But we hope to get on a few times.

We will try to get back on here on Christmas eve if we have time although I am sure you appreciate it is a busy day for us all.

So we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for following us and we wish you all a

Thursday 22nd December

Our good friend Jingly sent us some nice arts and crafts to do today. We are hoping the little girl is feeling a bit better and can join in and have lots of fun too.

Fingers crossed she wakes up feeling better.

Tuesday 20th December 2011

We thought it was not cold enough, and we were missing home so we made some lovely snowflakes and hung them up.

We did however get a little bit stuck in the ribbons oops.

Monday 19th December 2011

After the children had so much fun yesterday at the cinema we thought we would bring them a funny film about  an Elf we once knew.

We hope they enjoy the film.

We didn't think it would be fair to get up to too much after a busy day yesterday.

We hope all elves are doing well visiting their families and all the children are being good.

Sunday 18th December 2011

Today was an extra special day, we brought the children an elf training manual each for them to work through. Their mum then explained to them the reason they were to work through these was so they had a good understanding about some of the elves who are at the North Pole before..............

They went to the CINEMA to see Arthur Christmas.

The children have never been to the cinema, so they were very excited. They are now home and in bed and we have to say the whole expedition was a HUGE success so much so the Mum and Dad even treated them (and us) to a meal out afterwards.

The children were very good at the cinema and it was nice for us to catch up with what Father Christmas has been up to.

If any little elves out there plan to take their families we would recommend it.

Saturday 17th December 2011

We had a great day yesterday. We went to see the children in their nativity they were very good, one was an angel and one was a shepherd.

After they had a party as well it was very very good.

The children were really good and we think they enjoyed it too.

This morning we thought we would bring a little magic into the house, and we found a beautiful biscuit barrel but the magic is it plays a lovely lovely little tune and the inside piece spins around. It is very beautiful and magical. Oh and it has biscuits in it YEAH.

Friday 16th December 2011

We found a puzzle the little boy was doing but he had not got it finished before bed. So we thought we would help but thought we best leave a few pieces for him in the morning.

And we have had a look on the calendar and all being well today we should be able to go and see the children in their nativity and then for a little party as well. We best make sure we are nice and smart.

Thursday 15th December 2011

 We were very excited last night as we were allowed Stary to come for a sleep over she brought the little girl form her family to stay with the children too. We were SO excited.

So we thought as there were so many of us (our friendly reindeer have popped in for a visit too), we would have a SNOWBALL fight.

Buddy did fairly well.

Stary really seemed to get the hang of it.

But I think I may have won.

Cooking fun (14/12/11)

We got all ready when the children came home. We brought them each a nice apron and hat they looked SO smart but our elf camera will not work on humans so sorry we can not show you all.

So yummy if a LITTLE messy.

End results all wrapped up and ready for the morning.

Wednesday 14th December 2011

We know the children have a fairly long day at pre-school today so we decided to start the day off with a really nice little book all about well um US.

The children enjoy listening to the stories so much it is great to be able to share books with them. This book came from our good friend (and cousin) Jingly all the way from Yorkshire where he is visiting a family this year. It is very kind of him and his family to sent these to us.

Card making FUN

Today we had so much fun, while the children were out at pre-school we set up some card making things for the children to do. They really enjoyed making cards for their friends and family x

I really enjoyed this activity I do like card making.

Buddy enjoyed the cards but got a bit bored think he prefers mischief a little more.

So much fun and was really nice Stary Berry could come and join us as well.

We had a little bonus treat for the children today we managed to set up some card making things while they were out at pre-school. They had great fun making some cards for their friends and family.

Tuesday 13th December 2011

Well we all had a very busy day yesterday and went to visit the coco cola lorry. So it was a late night as well (we were very tired). So today we thought we would just bring something nice and relaxed for the children to play with.

I had to try a couple and almost got stuck in the box.

Twinkle said she thought it would be funny to hide some of the chocolates in the Father Christmas' as well so we did.

Coca Cola Truck day

Well what a day!

We went to the city with the family and there was this HUGE truck (almost as big as Father Christmas' sleigh.

It was a very beautiful red colour and was very very shiney.

They even set up some Christmas trees

AND SNOW.

We love snow it was lovely to feel so festive.

The children from the families were very good as well and showed us everything.

Monday 12th December 2011

Well after such a busy day on Sunday we decided just to relax with a nice story over night. We invited a few of our friends to join in the story with us.

It was very nice to just be able to relax and read about a lovely little Christmas tree.

We hope you all enjoy some super Christmas stories with your family, friends and elves.

Saturday 11th December 2011

Today was such a special day. Father Christmas sent us a message last night to say he was visiting a local farm as we could take the children from our host family to visit him.

We were so excited, we know how busy he is around this time of year so we wrote out some lovely invitations with a lovely colouring in drawing of Father Christmas.

Well when the Mum read out what we had put the children were VERY excited and got ready nice and quickly. They were very good. We got to the farm nice and early, we knew he was already there. He had parked up his sleigh. So in we all went, it was nice to see him and have a quick chat and the children explained a few things they would like for Christmas and even had a quick sing song of jingle bells which was lovely.

Today summed up was just extra special as then when the children got us home the Mum decided they would decorate the house ready for Christmas it was great fun, the tree is up and lights and everything such a fun day.

Saturday 10th December 2011

Oh we did get up to a little trouble last night. We found the i pad that the children are allowed to use and we had a little play. It was great fun there are films on there to watch and games to play. We practised our letters a little as well. 

We wrote the children a nice christmas message. 

We do hope we don't get too wrong for having a play with it.

Friday 9th December 2011

Was a super day today, we persuaded a friend of ours to come and visit, he is a funny fellow I must say and he does sing a lot. The children have had HUGE amounts of fun dancing a long with him. We enjoyed it too. The little boy in the family was sure he would need LOTS of cuddles which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Thursday 8th December 2011

A good night, we thought we would test out some "slightly" larger sleeping bags and sort out some snacky breakfast for the children as well. Apparently marshmallows and chocolate chips with Cherrios are not a normal breakfast. How strange? 

These sleeping bags are EVEN more snuggly than our ones.

Very yummy snacky breakfast.

Wednesday 7th December 2011

Oh we had a great day today, we loved our Halloween party so much that we sent the children photo cards about it. So today we decided we would set up a few little Halloween pieces for them to play with.

We got dressed up in our capes, and got our the dancing pumpkin and the dancing Dracula, as well as the super fun blow up pumpkins, ghost and spider.

We do hope all the other elves out there are having as much fun on their visits as we are.

6th December 2011

We got a little home sick today so we went around the house and found some things to remind us of home.

We thought we would make a lovely snowman for the children to see and remind us of home.

We managed to find a big roll of "stuff" well it looked like rolled up flat snow, so we thought this would be good to make our snowman with. We then also happened to find some of the childrens hats and scarves to help him stay warm.

5th December 2011

We had such fun we decided to go exploring over night. We went all over the house and then thought we would climb and check out the pretty patterns on the ceiling. But we got stuck on the lights and ended up still being there when the children got up in the morning. Their Mum had to help us down.

I wonder what we can get up to tomorrow!

Sunday 4th December

We brought with us a nice arts activity for the children to do today. We have some stencils we use to help us at the North Pole and we thought the children may like to have a go with these. We drew a few ready for them to colour in, if they wanted to.

Saturday 3rd December

Oh we have had so much fun this morning. We thought the children may like a little game for the weekend. So we asked Father Christmas if he would send us a special North Pole 10 pin Bowling game. He was very kind to agree. So this came down the chimney and we decided we would have a little game before the children got up. They have LOVED the game and we have had so much fun playing it with them today.

Friday 2nd December 2011

Well look what we got up to over night. We had heard that a local church was holding a lovely event. They have a variety of Christmas trees decorated by local charities and people go and donate their spare change in the buckets under them. So we thought we would leave the children some special pennys to donate. And we thought we would leave them a DVD about what some of our friends get up to in the Prep and Landing department - they are an amazing group who work very hard in some difficult situations.

Arrival

WOW our elf flight got in really early - we had good clear weather so maybe that is why, anyway we are HERE, we are just updating on here before we settle down for the night. We have used our magic camera to take some photos of us all snuggled up waiting on the fire place for the children to find us in the morning.

I am so pleased with the sleeping bag the host Mum made for us it is very warm.

Buddy is pleased that this year he can bring his sleigh license with him.

We are very pleased with our new passports and we remembered a little elf chocolate for the children and of course their letters from Father Christmas.
